This policy explains how SourceTon LLC (“SourceTon”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with sourceton.com (the “Site”). Separate products or services we operate may have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
Information we collect
- Contact form. When you send a message we receive your name, email address, organisation (if given) and message, and the time it was sent.
- Technical data. Our servers and network providers automatically process information needed to deliver and protect the Site, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and request times. For spam and abuse prevention we keep a one-way hash of the IP address with each message rather than the address itself.
The Site does not use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking scripts and does not set cookies. Please do not send sensitive personal information (for example health, financial or government ID information) through the form.
How we use information
- to read, consider and respond to your message;
- to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Site, and to prevent spam, fraud and abuse;
- to comply with law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We use service providers (such as hosting and network providers) that process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process or a government request, to protect the rights, property or safety of SourceTon, our users or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.
Storage and retention
Contact messages are stored on servers we control in the United States. We keep them only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, normally no longer than 24 months, after which they are deleted, unless a longer period is required by law. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, use the contact form and say what you are asking for. We may need to verify your request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Other websites
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we do not operate.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
